Martin is another strong member of our marketing team. He has been with the company for 4 years, has changed several areas and still really enjoys it!

What he values most about his position is the use of his creativity, the opportunity for self-development, the dynamic environment and the friendly atmosphere in the team.

He likes to spend his free time in nature on an MTB bike or hike, with a good book and also with his family and friends.

Matúš started his career at JTI in 2016 in the Strategic Insights department and eventually worked his way up to the position of Brand Manager.

What he likes most about his position is the variety and flexibility of his workload and the opportunity to be involved in a number of interesting projects. He also appreciates the international environment and the colleagues who make the company's atmosphere so relaxed.

Matúš is a lover of ice hockey, good movies, great music and chocolate ice cream.


The current Slovak subsidiary of JTI came about as a direct legal descendant of Gallaher Slovak Republic, which opened its local division in 2004. In 2007, after the global takeover by JTI, the offices were transformed and renamed to JTI Slovak Republic. In just a few years, the company managed to increase its market share from single digits to 23% with the brands Winston and Camel.

Slovak customers are currently supported by a team of over 70 professionals and a similar number of external partners throughout the country. They offer services to both merchants and end consumers. Their common goal is not only efficient cooperation along the entire supply chain but also advocating and extending JTI’s global vision: To be the most successful and responsible tobacco company in the world.
