CONTEXT
Company develops data-driven card-linked marketing and loyalty solutions for small and mid-size businesses. Being able to measure the impact of marketing/loyalty programs, and find ways to optimize them is at the core of our business.
MISSIONS
You will be the initial data scientist in a data team to be composed data scientists and engineers. The team’s mission is to build solutions that leverage payment data, checkout data, loyalty program data and other data sources to deliver personalized and measurable business benefits to our rapidly expanding customer base.
As data scientist, examples of missions that would be yours are
develop and refine statistical models to measure the revenue impact of loyalty programs automated by the platform, for a wide variety of businesses
develop models predicting the impact a program modification would have, aka the basic building block of an adaptive loyalty solution or recommendation system.
research which additional sources of data are most likely to improve the solution and how best to leverage them

Skills
Experience and a keen interest in a domain related to customer loyalty, marketing automation, retail sales optimization.
Experience and expertise at solving business problems by developing and industrializing data-driven mathematical and statistical models
Complete familiarity with contemporary data science development environments such as Jupyter or alternatives
Experience using infrastructure such as Apache Spark to process large amounts of data.
Experience using machine learning algorithms, and leveraging machine learning within software products.
Experience using SQL databases
Formal statistical and mathematical training
Excellent communication skills
