The position

Job description

Location:  LONDON

Contract type:  four-month contractor agreement, with the possibility of extension to a fixed-term contract in 2026 following the completion of the program’s pilot phase in December 2025.

In September 2025, INCO Academy will launch Step into Retail, a global training and placement program aimed at empowering individuals facing barriers to employment with the skills and confidence to succeed in the retail sector.

The program combines online learning with practical, facilitator-led sessions, ensuring participants gain the essential skills needed for retail and related careers. To translate these skills into real opportunities, graduates will take part in job fairs organized with local partners or receive direct placement support, connecting them with retailers and organizations actively seeking talent.

This program will be piloted in Spain and the UK with the aim to expand it globally in 2026.

We’re looking for a full-time Project Coordinator to support the implementation of the program in the UK and support the overall program execution. This role will focus on sourcing eligible learners, supporting learners through the training activities, supporting partnerships, and coordinating live and online events with our partners.

We are looking for a candidate located in London or near to London with the possibility to visit partners and support local events. The successful candidate will cooperate with INCO Academy on a freelance/contractor basis.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Partnerships & Learner Sourcing

  • Support building and maintaining strong relationships with key community stakeholders and partner organizations (NGOs, charities, government agencies, influencers, hub partners).

  • Support learner sourcing efforts: align messaging, set up outreach tools, and follow up with potential candidates (in coordination with the Comms team).

  • Support the application process in assigned country/ies.

Community Management & Engagement

  • Support community engagement activities to foster a supportive learning environment.

  • Manage communication platforms (e.g., Slack, LinkedIn groups) to ensure smooth information flow and learner interaction.

  • Provide ongoing motivation, guidance, and support to learners throughout the program.

Events Coordination

  • Organize and facilitate both in-person and online events, including job fairs, information sessions, networking meetups, and workshops.

Placement support

  • Support the interview preparation process

  • Support learners in gaining access to available retail positions and in the application process

Other / operational

  • Engage in knowledge sharing with relevant INCO staff to enhance and document program delivery practices

  • Make efforts to understand & utilise preferred program systems (i.e., Notion, Regate, Hubspot, etc)


Preferred experience

Skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administration and training programs, community building or marketing;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and attention to detail;

  • Adaptability and ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders;

  • Tech savvy and organized, to maintain efficient processes;

  • Fluent English 

  • Additional Spanish language skills are an advantage
