As an Apprentice in the APP & AI Team, you will work closely with our AI and Data Science experts, focusing on developing and optimizing AI-driven solutions. You will report directly to a Senior Engineer and contribute to projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies to address environmental challenges.

What you’ll do :

Data Processing & Enrichment

• Research and collect new data sources (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions, protected areas, geo-environmental data). Clean, preprocess, and enrich datasets to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Automation & Data Extraction

• Leverage Machine Learning models and LLMs to automatically extract and structure data from unstructured documents (e.g., RAG, web crawling). Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient information retrieval.

Pipeline Optimization

• Evaluate and enhance data extraction pipelines to improve result quality and expand data coverage.

Database Management

• Collaborate with technical teams to evolve and maintain our database infrastructure.

Advanced Analytics

• Conduct regular analyses to assess the quality of our environmental scores and propose actionable improvements.

Technical Environment

• Backend development and automation scripts - Python (FastAPI, Airflow)

• Database management and search (Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Weaviate

• Knowledge in TypeScript, Frontend development and internal tools is a plus.

• Knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes, Deployment and infrastructure management is a plus.

Who you are

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science.

• Passion for AI, NLP and environmental challenges.

• Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch) and data processing tools (e.g., Pandas, Polars) is a plus. We welcome candidates who have explored these tools in academic projects, personal projects, or previous internships, no professional experience required!
