The position

Job description

  • Job & mission :

Day to day will be more or less as follow :

  • Own the sourcing and the sales of Juices, Concentrates & Derivatives category, globally.

  • Apply your industry knowledge & value chain expertise to source the right side-streams & sell the right ingredients at the right place, to the right clients.

  • Therefore you will own Sales, Sourcing, Product Management, and eventually orders delivery / coordination in your category.

  • This means you will build your team from scratch.

  • You will own the full P&L & business plan of your category.

  • You will be accountable for its growth globally. Opening new offices & regions will be your call.

  • Keep everyone on its toes regarding sales strategy & market needs (shortages, trends, etc.) in this category.

  • Help your Product Managers to develop relevant specifications to achieve the best market fit.

  • Accountable for achieving ambitious growth targets of average multiple 3 per year. This will come with an uncapped bonus, and management package incentive.

We expect you to manage & animate a strong sales & sourcing pipeline from the beginning. At first, we will provide clear targets to achieve. Later, we will expect you to guide us on what is achievable in this category & therefore strongly contribute to overall company strategy.   • The team around you :

We expect you to build your team. At first you can count on the Product Manager and Sourcing Manager who already explored this category to support your debuts. You will be guided into our specific model by our C level team, including the CEO.

Your reporting will go directly to the COO, with the CEO highly supportive in case of any technical need.

You will have close exchanges with the Head of Sourcing & Head of Sales to help you cope with specificities of sourcing & selling things based on side-streams.


Preferred experience

We are looking for someone who will have both, short & long term impact. Being able to adapt to a start up is important. We still need to learn, and we will need your advice to grow.

Fondamental :

  • We believe that, at least 7 years of selling or purchasing natural colouring products (raw and/or processed) is a must to achieve our goals.

  • Perfect knowledge of the natural colouring industry B2B value chain.

  • Technical expertise on natural colourant extraction from fruits & vegetables.

  • Management of a team of 5 to 10 international persons.

  • Ability to anticipate quality & specification constraints of both clients & products.

  • Strong network in the business.

  • Experience in purchasing / selling internationally (not limited to one country). The wider the scope, the better.

  • Great communication & listening skills : balance ego, clear points, always propose a solution when spotting a problem.

  • Fluent in English. Any other language is great.

Bonus :

  • Technical background in Food business is a plus, but years of experience can compensate for that.

  • Circular economy mindset.

  • Having already sold similar resources (like Out of spec concentrated juices) is a huge bonus.

Conditions :

  • Contrat : CDI

  • Starting date : ASAP.

  • Localisation : Based in Avignon (Your chance to live in Provence – France). We could consider the remote in very specific conditions. But as a fast moving start up, we can see that being here with us is the best way to share emotions & celebrate.

  • Home office : 2 days a week maximum.

  • Salary : You can see we are looking for experts. We know that comes with a price, and we will value that. Package will be fine tuned based on your experience. Uncapped bonus, and management package included. The more you gain, the happier we are.


Recruitment process

  • First meeting : 30mins, content : Your background, experience & motivation.
    Product samples might be sent between those two meetings.

  • Second meeting : 60mins, content : Deep dive questions & scorecard. 

  • Third meeting : 60mins, content : Management team meeting

  • Fourth & last meeting : On site meeting with part of the team
