We’re looking for a Senior Financing Specialist to join our Finance Strategy – Central Team in Paris.

At Malt, financing is a key lever of our growth strategy, ensuring liquidity, mitigating risk, and enabling frictionless transactions between freelancers and clients across Europe. In this role, you’ll play a central part in shaping and scaling our financing model, driving both operational precision and strategic improvement to support Malt’s sustainable growth.

As a Senior Financing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Managing end-to-end financing operations: monitoring transaction flows, credit exposure, and buyback processes to ensure cash integrity, compliance, and on-time settlements.

Enhancing financial performance: optimizing workflows, automating recurring tasks, and implementing data-driven improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Building and maintaining strong partnerships: collaborating with external financing providers (Factors and Fintechs) and internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Care, Tech, and Finance) to secure liquidity and align financing solutions with Malt’s evolving business needs.

Key responsibilities ✨

  • Run and optimize daily financing operations: own the end-to-end flow from eligibility checks to payment allocations, reconciliations, and buybacks, ensuring every transaction runs smoothly.
  • Keep risk under control: monitor cash positions, credit lines, and partner performance to guarantee efficiency and compliance across markets.
  • Be the go-to expert for our financing partners (factoring and fintechs), building trust, solving issues fast, and ensuring frictionless collaboration.
  • Champion accuracy and reliability: maintain clean data, identify anomalies early, and make sure every process is ready.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Tech, Customer Care) to streamline how financing supports our clients and freelancers.
  • Challenge the status quo: spot operational pain points, simplify workflows, and co-create smarter, more automated solutions with Tech and Data.
  • Turn data into impact: track operational KPIs, share insights, and propose actions that enhance both efficiency and user experience.
  • Scale what works: adapt processes to new markets, products, and volumes while keeping operations stable, compliant, and future-proof.
  • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • Ideally 3 to 5+ years of experience in factoring, treasury, or finance operations, preferably within an international marketplace or fintech environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent English communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Google Sheets, Looker, and Slack is a plus.
  • How to join the mission? 🚀

  • First call with our Talent Acquisition Manager, to better understand your background, aspirations and answer any questions you may have. (30-45 minutes).
  • Interview with your future manager, Glwadys Bouchard, to delve into your experience and the specifics of the role. (45-60 minutes)
  • Business case for you to complete at our office, which will be evaluated by Benoit Charpentier (CFO) in order to assess your technical skills
  • Final interview with a C-level executive to discuss Malt’s long-term vision
  • Malt is the perfect space to thrive personally and professionally 💫

    - Onboarding: Before easing into your new role, you’ll spend your first week learning about our culture, products, and services with other new joiners at our office in Paris

    - Equity: Every Malter is entitled to stock options

    - Lunch vouchers (legal benefit): €9/day on your Swile card

    - Transportation (legal benefit): 50% reimbursement (any type of transport)

    - Healthcare insurance (legal benefit)

    - RTT: From 8 to 12 days off per year

    - Sports: Company participation to a Gymlib (Wellpass) membership

    - Malt sabbatical: Every three years, all Malters are entitled to a one month fully paid sabbatical leave

    - Free books: If you’re interested in learning more about any topic relevant to Malt’s business, just tell us the books you’d like to read, and we’ll order them for you—without any questions asked or approval processes to follow

    - Remote work: Hybrid policy balancing on-site and home office

    - Team building events organized every year
