Head of Brand

You will lead market research, brand positioning, and competitor analysis, and deploy the global brand management and marketing plan. You will collaborate with internal teams, manage social media branding, enhance brand visibility, conduct market research, define KPIs, and support the brand and creative team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in brand strategy and positioning, excellent English skills, and a genuine interest in both setting strategy and execution.

You are in charge of brand identity, strategy, and execution across Europe. To refine brand identity, you lead the appropriate market research, brand positioning, and competitor analysis. You then deploy the global brand management and brand marketing plan, ensuring that the global brand image and position are correctly developed in all our markets.

  • Develop and execute a consistent brand strategy aligned with the company’s mission and growth.
  • Ensure the brand story and identity resonate with target audiences and markets.
  • 🗣️ Brand Identity and Messaging
  • Oversee and refine the visual identity, tone of voice, and key messages for a cohesive and impactful presence.
  • Adapt brand messaging to different audience segments (freelancers, businesses, partners).
  • 🤝 Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Sales, etc.) to integrate brand positioning.
  • Ensure brand alignment in product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • ✍️ Content and Campaign
  • Work with Content and Acquisition teams to define campaign strategies aligned with brand objectives.
  • Lead creative teams to develop assets supporting both demand generation and long-term brand building.
  • 📱 Social Media Branding
  • Manage the brand’s positioning on social media.
  • Design strategies to grow the community, strengthen brand affinity, and drive demand.
  • 📣 Brand Promotion and Influence
  • Enhance visibility and credibility.
  • Recruit internal/external brand ambassadors and lead thought leadership initiatives.
  • 📊 Market Research and Insights
  • Conduct market research and brand perception analysis.
  • Understand merchant needs and our competitive positioning.
  • 📈 KPIs and Reporting
  • Define clear performance indicators (KPIs) and track brand performance.
  • Provide regular reporting and continuously optimize strategies based on metrics (awareness, engagement, perception).
  • 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Team Management and Development
  • Support and mentor the brand and creative team.
  • Ensure high performance and ongoing professional growth.
  • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • 10+ years of experience in this field (either client or agency), preferably in the tech sector. 
  • B2B or B2C experience will be valuable in this role, but you have to have worked on complex products and/or services. 
  • Excellent level of oral and written English. 
  • Big plus if you have worked on a marketplace before as having two audiences is an added complexity/exciting opportunity. 
  • Genuine interest and ability in both setting the strategy AND getting the job done.
  • Must have experience collaborating with diverse local stakeholders across a European scope, ensuring our strategy respects Malt's localized business model rather than imposing a top-down, HQ-centric approach.
  • Curiosity around AI as the next productivity booster for marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and nurture relationships, to lead by example, to win commitment, and to share your enthusiasm.
