🌟 YOUR ROLE WILL BE

  • As software Engineering Manager for Hivebrite’s tech team, you will be the leader of multiple technical teams.
  • Your squads? → User Engagement and the Shape Up Teams 👨‍🎤 👩‍🎤 - Dedicated to build new features to improve the user journey on the App, craft proof of concepts on new projects that focus on the user experience, and maintain the User Journey’s scope. They are responsible for the front-office and public-office, and their features: LiveFeed, Search, etc.
  • Reporting directly to our VP of Engineering (Sergiu), you will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical & strategic decisions required to deliver quality software together with the product and business teams. Working in tandem with your fellow managers & most experienced engineers, you will be constructing a common tech vision of how to build the best product possible.
  • 🌟 YOUR MISSION WILL BE

  • Team and Individual Performance Management: Provide daily guidance to your teams and team leads, driving technical excellence, team management, and product evolution. Collaborate with your direct reports to support their professional development through goal setting, consistent and continuous feedback, and performance reviews. Additionally, work with individual contributors and team leads to mentor and develop their technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills through participation in both internal and external events such as technical conferences, presentations, and hackathons. Inspire team members through a role model and an empowering approach to management.
  • Delivery and Project Execution: Collaborate with product and business teams to transform the features roadmap into a consistent and predictable delivery plan. This is crucial for ensuring and facilitating high-quality, timely releases and streamlining the go-to-production and go-to-market processes.
  • Technical Excellence: Enhance the speed and efficiency of the development cycle while simplifying the delivery process. Offer technical guidance and advocate for best development practices, including conducting code reviews, implementing automated quality checks, monitoring, and more.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with other Engineering managers and our most experienced technical leaders (Lead architects, staff/principal engineers) to define Delivery best practices, set our expected standards, and identify cross-functional projects necessary for implementing the required improvements. Work closely with product management, design, and QA teams to ensure that engineering efforts are aligned with our business objectives. This support will facilitate the sales and development cycle while providing optimal resources for our client-facing team.
  • Recruitment and onboarding: Lead the recruitment process, which includes referrals, conducting interviews, and evaluating candidates for engineering roles. Facilitate seamless onboarding processes for new team members to ensure their successful integration into the squads. Also, focus on driving the acquisition, development, mentoring, and retention of senior engineers and team leads.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
