Our team is currently leading a major project to transition from our legacy ticketing system to ServiceNow – a critical step in harmonizing and modernizing how we manage internal processes across the entire Heidelberg Materials Group.

What will you doWe are looking for a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead the design, development, and technical evolution of our ServiceNow platform. This is a key role responsible for driving strategic implementation of ServiceNow solutions across the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT best practice.

• Developing across the full ServiceNow stack (e.g. ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, Mobile, Portal).
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions.
• Lead platform governance, standards, and best practices.
• Define standard technical procedures for platform upgrades and patching
• Develop integrations leveraging point-to-point interfaces, Webservices (REST/SOAP) & file-based transfers.
• Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems using out-of-the-box (OOTB) spokes and integration tools.
• Maintain the technical documentation, technical design documentation, build/configuration documentation and release notes.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Define and maintain the ServiceNow roadmap in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and product strategy.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including global IT, local IT and Security.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and developers.

Requirements

We are looking for these competencies

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and architecture.
• Deep expertise in ServiceNow modules (ITSM, CSM, CMDB, etc), Integration Hub and experience with REST, SOAP, and JSON
• Solid experience in designing and maintaining ServiceNow applications and components.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
• Familiarity with software collaboration tools such as Jira, Zendesk, or similar.
• Understanding ServiceNow Architecture and Best Practices.
• Exposure to implementing AI features in ServiceNow is an advantage.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within agile teams.

Required Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
