The Windows Server and Workplace Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Windows server and workstation environments. The role includes administration of Microsoft ecosystem components, virtualization, monitoring, and incident management. The position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to implement operational improvements.
Responsibilities:
Administrate and maintain Windows servers (2012/2016/2019) and Windows 10 workstations
Manage Microsoft ecosystem: Active Directory, SCCM, DHCP, DNS, Print Server, File Servers, DFS, Remote Desktop Services
Operate virtualized environments (VMware)
Monitor systems using Nagios/Zabbix and handle alerts
Manage backup tools (VEEAM, Time Navigator) including restores and error job relaunch
Administer Symantec Antivirus platform and resolve alerts
Deploy applications and patches via SCCM
Address vulnerabilities and collaborate with security teams
Handle ITSM tickets (Level 2/3 support)
Manage access requests and project/run requests
Mandatory skills:
Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Workplace environments
Experience with VMware virtualization
Proficiency in SCCM administration and deployment
Knowledge of backup and antivirus solutions (VEEAM, Symantec SEP)
Scripting skills (PowerShell)
Appreciated skills:
Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix)
Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools (JIRA)
Knowledge of security and vulnerability management
Experience with file server management and Varonis
Ability to work in Agile environments
