You will work for our brand Shoop, the operator of Germany's No.1 cashback platform, shoop.de. It is a Berlin-based loyalty platform that offers customers cash rewards with its network of more than 2,000 online merchants and top-tier brands. Since 2010, the platform's customers have earned over €100 million in cashback with Shoop.
We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Finance team in our office in Berlin. Our Finance team provides timely, reliable, and accurate financial information to relevant stakeholders, thus assisting decision-making. Efficient processes, transparency, and compliance with local and international financial reporting regulations are critical to the finance functions in our company. Amongst many exciting challenges, you will:
- Be responsible for entities accounting (debitors, creditors, bank, provisions, etc.), including monthly closing per HGB
- Perform weekly payments and cost reconciliations
- Balance intercompany accounts
- Submit quarterly VAT declarations
- Analyze receivables and follow-up on payments
- Prepare monthly cashflow reports
- Work on the year-end closing and finalize it with our internal and external tax consultant
- Support the central Finance department with diverse tasks with a focus on accounting and finance
We are a match if you have...
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Preferably completed studies as a Steuerfachangestellter/-in, Bilanzbuchhalter/-in or comparable education
- Confidence in working with MS Excel. Ideally knowledge of Navision
- Good structural skills with a strong problem solving mindset
- Hands-on mentality and solution-driven personality
- Ability to work independently, flexible with a positive attitude
- Fluent in written and spoken German and good knowledge of English
