Claims & Insurance Program Manager – USA 🇺🇸
Free2move is searching for a hands-on, strategic Claims & Insurance Program Manager to lead our insurance and claims activity as we rapidly expand our fleet across North America! Join us in building innovative mobility solutions at scale—from Vehicle-as-a-Service and carsharing to the mobility partnerships shaping tomorrow.
What You’ll Do ?
- Direct claims activity with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA), overseeing investigations, documentation, coverage, liability, and damages for bodily injury, property damage, and liability claims.
- Evaluate medical reports, police records, and other evidence to determine claim outcomes, negotiating settlements within authority limits and collaborating with defense counsel in litigation cases.
- Ensure full compliance with state and federal insurance regulations affecting fleet operations.
- Lead the self-insurance program, managing claim acceptance/rejection, exclusions, addenda, and partner insurance terms to reflect Free2move’s risk appetite.
- Collaborate with our CFO to track financial exposure, reserves, and manage premium allocation.
- Define and enforce SLAs with TPAs, vendors, and partners—monitoring compliance with partner obligations and customer Terms & Conditions.
- Build scalable processes and tech-enabled workflows to support rapid fleet growth and new lines of business.
- Act as the main insurance liaison for strategic partners (DriveItAway, Infinite Auto Management, Flitco, OEM/dealer networks).
- Support onboarding of new partners and provide risk frameworks and claims procedures.
- Leverage claims and fleet data to build dashboards on claims frequency, severity, and loss ratios.
- Identify recurring trends, fraud risks, and drive product/process improvements with actionable insights for pricing, coverage, and customer experience.
- Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to integrate analytics, automation, and AI tools into claims workflows.
Qualifications & Experience 📚
- Successful track record in claims handling (bodily injury, property damage, liability) and strong US insurance law/regulatory expertise.
- Experience with self-insurance, captive programs, fleet insurance, and program management in high-volume environments.
- Litigation experience and ability to manage partner obligations and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills; strong written and verbal communication.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (business, insurance, or related), experience in SaaS/mobility/fleet tech, BI/data analytics.
