FairMoney is building the leading mobile bank for emerging markets.
For most of the positions, it’s possible to join FairMoney remotely or in one of our offices: in Paris, Bengaluru, Lagos, Riga.

We offer digital financial services to underbanked people in emerging markets. We give 10,000 loans daily (one every 8 seconds!) in Nigeria and India, and have banking operations in Nigeria, with over 200k active users.

Job description

Your mission is to build from scratch our new development center based in Nigeria, Lagos. You will report directly to our CTO, Matthieu Gendreau, who is based in France, Paris.

We are waiting from you to work on :

  • scaling and managing our team based in Lagos,
  • putting processes in place to insure steady speed and delivery,
  • build a scalable infrastructure and limit technical debt.

Preferred experience

  • You have 5 - 10 years of experience in backend development,
  • You have one signicative experience in scaling and managing a team,
  • You have an Engineering or University Diploma in computer science (we are also open to self-taught with 5 years experience in computer engineering),
  • You are able to code in a backend languague (Ruby on Rails or Python or node.js or Go or Php or Java…)
  • You have knowledge with AWS or GCP cloud providers,
  • You are able to go to the most efficient solution,
  • You know how to take initiatives.
