The position

Job description

Internal audit is one of the 4 key functions defined by the Solvency 2 Directive. Reporting directly to General Management, internal audit ensures the management of the company’s risks. Management is organized around a CoDir (Director, managers) and the Audit team (Audit leader and auditors). Based on its autonomy and its ability to adapt, the auditor takes part in audit activities in accordance with the Group’s audit methodology:
• On the basis of a risk assessment, participation in the development of the audit plan
• Execution of the audit plan with performance of audit engagements
• Monitoring of remediation plans sent as part of audits
• Participation in the life of the Department through transversal projects (implementation of data analytics, methodological review, training plan, etc.)

Under the supervision of the audit leader and/or the manager, the auditor:

1 – Participate to the delivery of the audit plan by completing the audit engagement in your scope:
 Contribute, with a good level of autonomy, the testing activities
 Actively participate to the meeting with the auditees
 Ensure respect of our methodology
 Present to the auditees your issues during exit meeting

2 – Participate to the risk assessment within the audit plan process;

3 – Participate to the issue follow up process with the audit team:
 Develop ability to evaluate the relevance of the evidences received during the issue follow up process and gain the needed information while keeping a collaborative and positive relationship with the business.
4 - Participate in operational projects for the Internal Audit department:
 Bring his contribution to cross-functional projects as validated with his line manager (local working groups: preparation of the audit plan, coordination with control functions, etc.).
 Participate in reporting to the Generali Group Head Office.
 Working groups (in English) with the Generali Audit teams.
 Regular exchanges with auditors from other countries of the Generali Group.
 On thematic audits:
o Contributes to regular calls with the Group (optional)
o Takes part in the development of the audit program


Preferred experience

 Curious, rigorous, organized, with a strong team spirit.
 He or she has good insurance and audit skills as well as professional standards that he knows how to put into practice using his analytical mindset.

 MSC or MBA degree from Business school including Insurance and Audit skills
 English (Professional or fluent)
 3 years’ experience in audit (audit firm)
 Strong hands-on knowledge on Audit and/or internal control methodology
