Electra is constantly innovating to facilitate the recharging of electric vehicles with a network of fast recharging hubs (15 to 30 minutes maximum) and a user experience simplified to the maximum.Based in Paris, Lyon, Brussels, Milan, Zurich, Vienna, Madrid and Munich Electra's teams aim to deploy a network of 14,500 charging points by 2030; proud to participate in the energy transition in France and Europe.     Job description  💼

    Given its accelerating growth in new countries in Europe (France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland...), Electra needs to develop a public affairs strategy at the European level to identify all possible obstacles and enablers to EV deployment.

    You will be part of the Energy team, reporting to Arthur (Head of Energy). Your main tasks will be:

    • Maintain an overview of relevant political decision-making processes, exert effective influence, and thus create the right conditions to accelerate the expansion of fast charging infrastructures.
    • Develop a public affairs strategy that meets Electra's priorities and work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to implement it.
    • Monitor and analyze new regulations (e.g. e-credits) and negotiations regarding the EV sector in Europe, with a strong focus on energy-related policies.
    • Represent Electra in the discussions with various French and European industry associations (working groups, policy committees…). Propose new policy actions and papers to Electra’s Energy Committee.
    • Network with relevant stakeholders, associations and other players along the value chain. Actively build contacts with cities in order to extend fast charging to city centers.
    • Support Cédric (CDO) & Arthur in the relations with public authorities in France and Europe.

     Profile required 😎

    • 4-6 months internship or 6 month/1 year alternance, starting 1st semester 2024
    • Background in Public Policy. A good knowledge of energy public policy and/or of the European institutions is a strong asset.
    • You know how to work independently.
    • You have strong communication skills, in particular when it comes to speaking to an audience of > 20 ppl. You are fluent in English and French.
    • You have strong writing and analytical skills.
    • You're keen to join a start-up company that's in full expansion.
    • As part of the development team at Electra and as a real team player, you are motivated to get involved and learn on other topics
