Job description

EcoVadis is recruiting a Collections & Support Team Senior Associate to  manage the billing and collection activities for CyberVadis in Mauritius. This role will assist the Billing & Collection Senior Manager in managing the end to end billing and collection process for CyberVadis. (CyberVadis is outsourcing its billing and collection functions to EcoVadis). 

Core responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for all clients on a daily basis and resolve any billing queries

  • Maintain and engage with a portfolio of aging receivables accounts to ensure accurate and timely recovery of all past due accounts.

  • Process incoming payments and refunds as and when required.

  • Identify and communicate information regarding high-risk accounts and refer them to 3rd-party collections where appropriate.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on billing and collection activities and progress.

  • Be the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders members for any billing, payment and collection queries.

  • Support the Accounting team during the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process

  • Handle escalations from customers and other business units.

  • Participate in the recruitment process for the hiring of new team members.

  • Assist and coordinate training and mentoring new team members with regards to established policies and procedures.

  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures and workflow documentation.

  • Work on projects and perform other work-related duties as needed.

Preferred experience

  • Degree in a Business related discipline (Management, Business, Finance) or any equivalent qualification.

  • Atleast 4-6 years of experience in billing and/or collection operations. Prior experience in customer service is a plus.

  • A demonstrated ability to work successfully on cross-functional teams is required.

  • High proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint is required. Proficiency in Google suite tools would be an advantage. 

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures is a must.

  • Fluency in English and French is a must. Proficiency in additional languages would be a plus.
