The position

Job description

You will be part of our System Verification and Validation (V&V) team within the System, Integration & Validation department.

Position details

  • Permanent full time position (CDI temps plein)

  • Location: Toulouse

As Integration & Validation test engineer, you will be responsible for performing and analysing Integration tests and V&V tests of embedded software on autonomous vehicles and associated test benches and simulators. You will therefore be a key contributor to the safety and performance of EasyMile vehicles!

Your main activities will be to:

  • Participate in the definition of validation plans for autonomous vehicles and systems,

  • Define test plans for new features to be implemented on our vehicles,

  • Contribute to the planification and prioritisation of V&V tests activities, in collaboration with the team’s Product Owner,

  • Carry out tests campaigns and check the conformity of the vehicle with the specifications and the applicable standards/regulations,

  • Analyse tests results, propose corrections or debug solutions to development teams and ensure issue resolution,

  • Report test results and progress on the test campaigns,

  • Participate in the preparation and execution of external tests campaigns (UTAC, etc.) of vehicles and components

  • Participate in the transfer of validation results to the Safety, Products, Deployment and Maintenance departments

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our tests processes, methods and tools.

You are very curious, and aim to learn the system as a whole. You will work with many software teams, integration team, test bench team and platform teams to identify and help resolve issues and propose modifications to improve  the vehicle behaviour.


Preferred experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar

  • Experience in analysing and testing complex embedded system

  • Experience in Linux and Python development

  • Common sense and ability to find practical solutions to complex problems

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Proactivity and continuous improvement mindset

  • Fluent in French and English

Desirable:

  • Experience in robotics

  • Experience in programming embedded systems

  • Experience in Windows development

Soft skills:

  • Ability to accept challenge positively and proactively

  • Very organised and well structured 

  • Strong capacity to manage priorities

  • Pragmatism and culture of compromise to build the best solution for EasyMile
