We're creating a new AI operating system that has the potential to change the way companies operate. Our mission at Dust is to transform how work gets done by letting any team and employee shape the exact agents they need to accelerate their jobs.
With 70%+ weekly active users, people stick with Dust as much as they do with Slack and Notion. We already are a core part of their jobs.
We are at an exciting stage of our journey. We‘ve raised our Series A, expanded in the US, and hit the $1m and $2m ARR milestones in 2024; we aim to x5 our growth by the end of 2025.
Dust is a Sequoia-backed company with an experienced and determined team of optimists (coming from companies like Stripe or OpenAI) that like to focus on users, getting great things done by shipping fast, and doesn’t take itself too seriously while doing so.
We're hiring a Founding Product Marketer to build the marketing foundation at Dust. This role is central to our future: driving how we tell our story, shape the category, and bring our product to market in the US. You’ll be the first dedicated marketer on our US team and a key player in defining how the world understands and adopts Dust.
We’re at an inflection point. People are building real workflows with our AI agents, but we haven’t put much energy into telling the outside world about it!
That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for someone who’s successfully built positioning and messaging from scratch, launched complex products, and driven measurable adoption in a fast-moving startup.
You’ll be DRI-ing most of our marketing efforts (with support from the broader team) and help shape a function that could grow into your own to lead.
Act as the connective tissue between product, sales, and the market, owning our voice and making it resonate with the right audiences. You’ll work closely with teams across the US and EU.
Positioning & messaging: Define and evolve how Dust is understood. Bring clarity to our product through high-quality storytelling across our website, product, sales materials, and beyond.
Product marketing: Plan and execute launches, write changelogs, and help the team frame new features in a way that drives engagement and understanding.
Sales enablement: Build collateral and narratives that help the GTM team close deals faster and with more confidence.
Content & thought leadership: Partner with our founders to amplify their voices. Translate our product roadmap and worldview into opinionated, high-signal content.
Website & comms: Own the marketing site’s content. Build new pages when needed. Make sure our story shows up clearly and consistently wherever people encounter Dust.
Collaboration: Localize what’s working in the EU for the US market, and keep product, growth, and sales tightly connected.
Native English speaker with 5–8 years of experience marketing technical B2B SaaS products in the US, ideally as an early hire at a high-growth startup
Strong product marketing instincts. You’re able to make abstract features understandable and desirable without dumbing them down
Exceptionally clear, confident writer who can speak to technical and business audiences alike. You’ve written everything from website copy to launch announcements to sales decks and you know how to make it land. You write to convert, not just to inform, and you have a strong sense of what great looks like.
Track record of building positioning and go-to-market from scratch
Hands-on. Comfortable setting strategy, but spending 80% of your time executing
Operates without permission or process. Knows how to move quickly and prioritize the signal
Experience collaborating with technical teams and product-led orgs
Experience with AI platforms, developer tools, or deeply technical products
Deep understanding of the enterprise AI landscape
Prior success as one of the first few marketing hires at a company that found product-market fit (or better yet, former founder)
Experience in growth or content marketing
Delegating everything
Waiting for strategy time before taking action
Managing a large team right away
Operating in a vacuum. You’ll be tight with product and sales from day one
Focusing solely on product marketing. This role is suitable for someone who has worked across the marketing stack but has very strong product intuition.
Competitive compensation: $100K - $200K base salary
Significant equity package at a Sequoia-backed startup
Health benefits for you and your dependents
New MacBook Pro or Linux machine, monitor, keyboard, etc.
Beautiful office in San Francisco
Opportunity to travel to the EU multiple times a year
Regular team events and off-site
We're prioritizing building our team with an in-person culture at our offices in Paris and San Francisco, valuing the magic that happens when talented people work closely together.
We're not building yet another enterprise SaaS tool. We’re creating an AI OS that will fundamentally change how companies operate. We believe existing AI models are powerful enough to have a tremendous impact on the world (and will keep getting better) – the key is building the infrastructure so that they have context and explore the best interfaces for humans to interact with them.
We have the unique opportunity to explore and shape the way humans interact with machines while working on a product we use ourselves every day.
If you're excited about crafting products that reinvent B2B software and want to join a team that combines the best of startup culture with the backing of top-tier investors, we'd love to talk.
👋 Even if you don't check every box in our requirements, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and we're more interested in your potential and passion than a perfect match to our checklist.
