Android Developer

Job description

Do you want to develop applications that will be used in millions of cars? Are you passionate about Android and looking for a challenge to take your skills to the next level? At Digiteq Automotive, you will create smart applications for the cars of the future – designing and developing applications for infotainment and user interfaces in vehicles.

Your code will directly impact what drivers and passengers see and experience on the dashboard display. We are looking for an enthusiastic Android developer who is not afraid of innovation and wants to push the boundaries of automotive technology.

Technologies we use:

Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, View, MVVM architecture, design patterns, Git, unit tests, integration tests, AIDL, AOSP (optional), Android Automotive OS, Android Auto (optional)

What will you do?

  • Develop and design software components for user applications in the automotive environment
  • Integrate and optimize applications for deployment in vehicles
  • Test and debug code, including simulations and real-world testing
  • Create documentation for Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and its APIs
  • Work on new applications from design to deployment – including UI, implementation, and testing

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in developing Android applications (automotive experience is a plus but not required)
  • Good knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java, including Kotlin Coroutines and Flows
  • Experience with Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture and design patterns
  • Hands-on experience with Jetpack libraries and View/Compose frameworks
  • Ability to test and debug code (unit tests, integration tests)
  • Proficiency with Git version control
  • Advantageous experience with: Android Software Development Kit (SDK), Android Interface Definition Language (AIDL), Android Open Source Project (AOSP)
