Royalties and Reporting Analyst - Publishing (m/f/d)

Join our Music Rights Acquisition team as a Royalties and Reporting Analyst. In this role, you will support the Royalties & Reporting team in daily tasks and strengthen the publisher's reporting process. Your responsibilities will include monitoring royalties and reporting, back reports monitoring, providing insights to negotiating teams, calculating and reporting costs to the finance team, coordinating with the engineering team, and managing large spreadsheets. This position is ideal for someone with a Master's Degree, excellent analytical skills, and a strong understanding of Excel. Experience in the music industry, particularly in publishing royalties, is a plus.

The position

Job description

The Music Rights Acquisition team is made of 20+ people who specialise in several areas such as reporting, music rights (Recording and publishing), and catalogue ingestion.

The team works closely with the legal department which drafts contracts and helps finalise commercial negotiations.

Your mission will consist of supporting the Royalties & Reporting team in daily tasks and strengthening the publisher’s reporting process

What you will do:

  • Monitor publisher’s royalties and reporting: DDEX sending, invoice control, validation and follow-up. 

  • Back reports monitoring: market share control, back claim, double claim, and unclaimed monitoring

  • Help the negotiating teams by giving insights on market shares and costs

  • Calculate and report the publisher’s costs to the finance team – accruals and cash management

  • Coordinate with a dedicated engineering team to improve and optimise our royalties and reporting tools

  • Create and manage large spreadsheets, potentially with dozens of tabs and cross-dependencies


Preferred experience

This role is excellent for a person with:

  • A Master’s Degree from a Business School/University or equivalent

  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of Excel

  • Ability to learn and understand technical tools inherent to digital services

  • Self-sufficient and meticulous

  • Driven and self-motivated with a can-do attitude

  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English

  • An experience in the Music Industry, especially in publishing royalties is a plus
