Infrastructure team’s purpose is to provide reliable, performant, secure infrastructure at scale to guarantee the best Deezer Experience around the world in a resource-efficient way. From OS Engineering based on Debian & Ubuntu to our Kubernetes platform with all solutions to be able to manage them efficiently, we have a key role within Deezer to design and evolve our hybrid infrastructure to meet our customer’s needs, but also to operate and support them 24 by 7.

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager for living thrilling adventures. You will work in a high traffic and high availability environment and find efficient and scalable solutions that improve the efficiency of all our teams and systems and the experience of all our customers.

Your mission

• Inspire, drive and develop a motivated technical team of expert engineers
• Hire and grow our team of talented engineers
• Drive the vision and the strategy for the team and our solutions related to Deezer’s interests
• Define OKRs, effectively prioritize and manage our engineering roadmaps in alignment with our product roadmap
• Build and maintain strong relationships throughout engineering across providers and Deezer, partners and the team 
• Negotiate and manage all purchase related to our infrastructure
• Ensure the technical work is following the industry standard

• Experience working with and operating production compute infrastructure systems at large scale
• A self-motivated exceptional people leader with successful experience(s) as a Manager
• High emotional intelligence (EQ) and excel in building and maintaining effective and talent-dense teams, as well as healthy and effective partnerships
• Has the ability to prioritize, manage project, create a culture of clear accountability and ensures that their team is appropriately staffed 
• Has the ability to provide clear vision and long-term strategic thinking within their domain and envision and facilitate the creation of a strategic plan for the short- and long-term
• Capacity to negotiate with partners and providers and to estimate annual budget regarding the infrastructure growth
