The position

Job description

The "Business Capability Platform" Domain within Decathlon Digital The mission of the Business Capability Platform is to enable Decathlon’s digital experiences by connecting products and services from any seller to its users.

By linking all types of offers, it creates the largest selection of choices for our users and teammates, as well as the best way to consume them (test, rental, subscription, purchase, new or used).

The Business Capability Platform domain thus intervenes from the construction of the offer to the end of the purchasing experience.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to identify opportunities for improving visualization products.
  • Address recurring analysis requests for KPIs by providing the business with high-performance visualization tools, automatically and regularly.
  • Model datasets to develop effective visualizations.
  • Intervene from the finalization of the scoping by the Project Manager to delivery in production and ensure the solution runs smoothly.
  • Coach, mentor, and participate in recruitment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Tableau Software (Tableau certification is a plus).
  • Mastery of visualization technologies and best practices in development and performance.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ETL is appreciated.
  • Experience working with agile methodology.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a BI Engineer or similar role.
  • Excellent ability to use visuals to communicate data-based information.
  • Curiosity and proactivity to understand business needs.
  • Rigor, autonomy, a service-oriented mindset, and a positive attitude.
  • A strong inclination for discovering and solving problems.
  • A desire to learn and bring value.
  • Constant technological watch on the DataViz market and industry advancements.
