Job description

Dailymotion is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to strenghten our Analytics team within the Data department. This cross-functional team—composed of Data Product Managers, Analysts, and Analytics Engineers— is responsible for delivering end-to-end data solutions: from ingestion pipelines and transformation logic, to analytics products powering both internal and client-facing experiences. Our mission: build a modern data ecosystem that empowers autonomous, data-driven decisions and drives value across all products and business units.

As a Lead Analytics Engineer reporting to the Director of Analytics Products, you will manage a team of 5-6 engineers and play a key role in driving data architecture and shaping the vision for analytics at scale. This leadership position offers the opportunity to make a company-wide impact by solving meaningful challenges in a dynamic environment. You’ll help evolve Dailymotion’s data ecosystem and play a central role in strengthening our data-driven culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 5 Analytics Engineers, ensuring each individual's growth and development.
  • Define and implement the technical vision and roadmap for Analytics Engineering, aligned with the product and organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Product Managers to create and iterate on high-impact data products.
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of analytics pipelines and data models to support business-critical use cases.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within the Analytics Engineering team. Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Insights, Product, Engineering) to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, pipeline reliability, and system performance.
  • Oversee the cataloging of data entities, dimensions, and metrics, and promote consistent usage across the organization.
  • Contribute to Dailymotion’s AI and advanced analytics strategy by championing emerging technologies and tools.
  • Monitor and optimize the cost-efficiency of the data infrastructure to ensure scalable and responsible resource usage.
