Operations Specialist - (6 month internship, based in Paris)

Founded in 2016, Connecting Food is a B2B Foodtech scale-up that offers digital transparency solutions which create value for agri-food players and restore consumer confidence in food. We have developed a SaaS platform for food traceability and digital auditing.

Our platform is powered by blockchain, a technology that enables us to build fully digitalized modules for real-time traceability and digital audits, ensuring that every promise made to the consumer is kept.

Currently employing +20 people based in Paris and Milan, Connecting Food is already marketing and deploying its solution to major food industry clients in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the UK, and the US.

By the end of 2025, our ambition is to become the number one FoodTech company using blockchain in Europe and the top 5 in the US.

The Position: Operations Intern

Objectives of the role:

As an Operations Intern, you’ll be able to be exposed to a variety of impactful initiatives that are crucial to Connecting Food’s growth and evolution. These include internal initiatives aimed at helping our back office scale, as well as mission critical client oriented tasks that are key to helping us deliver a great service to our clients.

These tasks can include helping structure / migrate our internal CRM, helping come up with processes to ensure that we have the right data at the right time, ensuring record cleanliness, assisting with product oriented support, helping our CSMs find creative solutions to challenging problems, and much more.

We are looking for a qualified Operations Specialist for a 6-month internship with the possibility of integrating the intern into the team permanently should the internship be successful.

Your mission?

Support the operations team with tasks and initiatives aimed at scaling our internal and external operations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Helping the CSM team with client oriented tasks
• Assisting the Head of Operations with CRM deployment initiatives
• Coordinating key internal functions to help deploy processes organization wide
• Support the CSM team with product related problem solving
• Managing daily tasks within a variety of tools aimed at ecosystem simplification
• Helping with supporting tasks related to the deployment of our new solution

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a top-tier business or engineering school
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full professional proficiency in English and French
• Digital native and tech-savvy

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in operations
• Prior experience in a start-up environment

Good to know:

• Contract: 6-month full-time internship + full-time contract possibility at the end of the 6 months
• Location: Paris (office near Gare de l’Est)
