The Global Communications Manager will own and drive the global Cohabs brand communications strategy, spanning PR (brand and corporate), social, influencer, brand media, and owned / direct-to-member channels, shaping how Cohabs shows up in culture, conversation, and community. This role is both strategic and operational, combining brand storytelling with business acumen to create meaningful impact across markets. You will balance business needs, creativity and strategy, turning our purpose, homes, and community stories into compelling, shareable narratives that inspire our audiences and strengthen Cohabs’ presence globally.
Reporting directly into the CMO, you will lead a small but powerful team, including the Social Media and Influencers Intern, and collaborate closely with Brand Creative, Performance Marketing, Consumer Experience, Tech, and Sales to ensure cohesive, insight-led communication across all channels. Lead Global Brand Communications: develop and execute the global communications strategy across PR, social, influencer, and owned channels, driving consistent messaging and impact worldwide.
Build and Protect Brand Reputation: manage brand and corporate PR directly and through local partners; ensure alignment with ESG communications to build long-term trust and credibility.
Social & Influencer Strategy: lead the strategy and direction for social and influencer channels, providing guidance and vision to internal teams for execution and growth.
Lead Global Social Media Strategy: develop and execute a global social media plan across channels, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, campaigns, and key business objectives.
Drive Influencer Marketing: identify, engage, and manage influencer relationships, directly and through agencies, across price tiers, geographies, and industries, for both local and global activations.
Content & Storytelling: partner with the Brand Creative team to develop ongoing content franchises, storytelling series, and cultural moments that bring the Cohabs brand to life.
Campaign Integration: work cross-functionally with Brand Creative and Media / Lead Gen teams to align social and influencer activities with broader brand and performance campaigns.
Community Building: engage authentically with our audiences across platforms, strengthening brand loyalty and advocacy through dialogue and storytelling.
Creative Production: oversee and contribute to the production of visual content, photography, video, short-form storytelling, ensuring high-quality, on-brand execution.
Performance & Insights: define success metrics, monitor performance, and optimize strategies based on insights, ensuring that efforts drive brand awareness, engagement, and organic growth.
Trendspotting & Innovation: stay ahead of social, cultural, and platform trends, identifying new opportunities for Cohabs to engage audiences in relevant and inspiring ways.
Budget & Team Management: oversee the global brand communications budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively for maximum ROI and long-term brand building.
6-8 years of experience in PR/Comms (key background), and ideally also Social Media and Influencer Marketing, ideally within consumer brands known for building strong emotional connections, across lifestyle, hospitality, or consumer brands.
Proven experience managing both brand and corporate PR, directly and via local partners or agencies.
Deep understanding of brand storytelling and how to build emotional connections and long-term brand equity through PR/Comms and social media.
Strong grasp of consumer engagement mechanics and ability to adapt to new categories and audiences.
Proven ability to translate brand and product strategy into PR/Comms, social and influencer programs that drive awareness and advocacy.
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, influencing and inspiring teams across disciplines and geographies.
Experience developing ongoing social franchises or recurring content formats that deliver consistent engagement.
Strong creative sensibility and production skills, from concept to content creation (photography, videography, editing).
Existing portfolio demonstrating content creation, social campaigns, and influencer collaborations.
Hands-on experience working with influencers and agencies, managing relationships and budgets effectively.
Results-oriented, with strong KPI setting, measurement, and optimization skills.
