Job description

What you’ll be doing

  • Data Model Architect: Build and maintain scalable SQL-based data models in BigQuery and dbt that keep our data ecosystem running smoothly.

  • Pipeline Mastermind: Develop and optimise automated ELT pipelines across GCP to ensure data flows flawlessly.

  • Dashboard Rockstar: Create, update and enhance dashboards in Looker Studio to bring clarity and visibility to business stakeholders.

  • Quality Guardian: Ensure data accuracy through rigorous validation, quality checks, and a sixth sense for anomalies.

  • Business Translator: Transform business needs into clean data models, robust logic, and actionable reporting.

  • Insight Hunter: Analyse operational data to uncover trends, opportunities, and improvement levers.

  • Debugging Hero: Troubleshoot pipeline issues, performance bottlenecks, and those mysterious anomalies that pop up at the worst times.

  • Code Reviewer: Participate in version-controlled workflows and ensure clean, maintainable analytics code.

  • Stakeholder Support: Assist teams with advanced SQL queries, exploratory analysis, and data-driven decision making.

  • Data Stack Improver: Contribute to enhancing our processes, documentation, and internal analytics tooling.


Preferred experience

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced Analyst: 3+ years as a Data Analyst or similar role.

  • SQL Superstar: You master complex transformations like a pro.

  • Warehouse Enthusiast: Solid understanding of modern data warehousing and ELT concepts.

  • Toolbox Ready: Familiarity with BigQuery, dbt, and cloud analytics environments.

  • Dashboard Artist: Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio or similar BI tools.

  • Detail Detective: You spot data issues before anyone else even smells something odd.

  • Analytical Mind: Strong structured thinking and the ability to lead analyses independently.

  • Curious & Driven: You love learning, exploring, and improving things continuously.

  • Python Friendly: Comfortable using Python for automation or analysis.

  • Git-Literate: Experience with version control and collaborative workflows.
