YOUR ROLE
As part of the Procurement & 3PL Management team, the Procurement Manager is responsible for our customers’ transportation purchasing topics.
You will be responsible for defining a tender program for the duration of the contract, along with ensuring delivery of savings and adherence to customer requirements.
This role may handle a defined portfolio of 3PLs at global level or might be dedicated to one key customer if requested.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Transport Provider / 3PL Sourcing Good knowledge of the players involved in the different modes of transport to advise the customer in their choice of service provider.
- Tender Management · Tender preparation: baseline analysis, scope of work definition, evaluation criteria definition, rate matrix design, documentation and timeline · Event management (RFI, RFQ) · Scenarios creation and bid analysis · Recommendation of awards to the customer
- Rate card management · Ensure the customer has valid and relevant rates at all times · Manage rate updates, including accessorials · Challenge LSPs on their offers
- Market insight · Generate market updates and analysis to evaluate the market level and encourage the tenders in the suitable period · Provide rates comparison with market trends
- Savings initiatives Generate savings to the customer through procurement activity
- Contract Management Assisting customers in drawing up contracts with LSP
- OPS Support Support Transport operations
