Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Business Development & Account Management
  • Manage the full business development cycle, from lead generation to proposal negotiation and contract execution.

  • Accountable for achieving sales targets, including proposal win rates, client retention, and market expansion.

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with key pharmaceutical and biotech accounts in HEOR, Medical, RWE and Market Access.

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ evidence-generation strategies, identifying how Carenity’s digital PCOR capabilities can support them.

  • Lead client meetings and presentations, translating complex research concepts into compelling proposals and solutions.

  • Represent Carenity at industry congresses, symposia, and client events, strengthening our visibility as a scientific and digital thought leader.

  1. Scientific & Commercial Consulting
  • Serve as a trusted scientific advisor, guiding clients in study design and PCOR best practices.

  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure proposals are methodologically robust.

  • Able to lead and develop robust PCOR proposals, including drafting scientific rationales, study outlines, and budget justifications.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PCOR methodologies, patient-reported outcomes (PRO) instruments, and regulatory guidance (FDA, EMA, ISPOR).

  1. Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders (Project Management and Senior Leadership) to align business goals with scientific excellence.

  • Provide input into strategic growth initiatives, go-to-market plans, and client engagement strategies.

  • Mentor junior business development staff in scientific communication and consultative sales approaches.


Preferred experience

  • Significative experience in health outcomes and patient-centered research related field which can include recent consulting experience

  • Strong understanding of patient-centered outcomes, observational research, and direct-to-patient methodologies (e.g., ePRO, eCOA, online surveys).

  • Proven success in developing and closing complex, multi-stakeholder research projects.

  • Track record of representing organizations at scientific congresses or client events.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and scientific storytelling skills.

  • Fluent in English and French
