Job description

About the Team:

We are the BRANDED Global Sourcing Team in China to support the new products' development in the BRANDED Group. We have four functions in both Shanghai and Shenzhen two offices - Sourcing, Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics.

About The Role

The primary mission of the Assistant Logistics Specialist is to provide Logistics visibility and changes to all the key stakeholders, enable the team to drive on-time delivery and container utilization.

What You Will Do

  • You will provide administrative and coordination support to ensure the logistics operation functions are conducted smoothly and efficiently from the China region to customers based in the US/Europe/Canada;
  • Consolidate the containers across the China supplier base
  • Coordinate ocean booking between factories and forwarder
  • Complete and review commercial invoices and packing lists
  • Preparing inbound shipping orders for destination warehouses
  • Reconcile in-transit stock & Regular update of shipment Track and Trace data on logistics databases
  • Reviewing, cleansing, and entering logistics data sets, including product shipping specifications
  • You will support the maintenance of order management discrepancies and communications, both domestic and internationally, as it relates to shipments while in collaboration with the Logistics
  • Manager facilitating new processes to enhance the efficiency and improve customers’ satisfaction level
  • Generating and sharing logistics reports to stakeholders;
  • You will work closely and interface with internal stakeholders: Finance, Inventory management and Purchasing
  • Report the weekly/monthly statistics.
  • Investigate the cause of delivery failure, and cooperate to propose improvement measures and implement in collaboration with the Logistics Manager
  • You monitor logistics and current events and alert the necessary stakeholders when escalation is needed
  • You will perform an audit review of logistics processes with the management team when necessary
  • Support special projects when needed as assigned by the management team

Who You Are

  • University preferably in international trade/ Supply Chain or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in the logistics industry
  • Knowledge of international trade or supply chain functions preferably on Logistics Operations Procedures
  • You have exposure to coordinating the delivery aspects of constantly changing distribution patterns
  • You exercise strong communication skills internally and externally in order to achieve the objectives of the Supply Chain functions
  • You are a proficient communicator, written and oral in both English and Chinese
  • You possess a strong sense of responsibility and ownership to meet deadlines, maintain strong attention to detail, and work as a team member
  • Strong data processing ability, especially shipping/logistics data; good command of Excel skills
  • Experience in customs compliance, import/export is an advantage
