Job description

About Bitstack

It all started with an idea in 2021. Initially built to democratize Bitcoin in France, Bitstack has gone from a simple product that invests spare change in bitcoin, to a crypto-native bank bringing a better way to save, spend, and grow money to our 300K+ users. We want to rebuild finance from the ground up to empower people to achieve financial freedom by participating in a more open and inclusive financial system. We’re a small, ambitious team of operators. We believe in moving fast, sweating the details, and creating products people truly love. At Bitstack, you’ll have the opportunity to shape not just our products, but the culture and practices of our entire organization. Bitstack is backed by YC, leading VCs like 13books Capital, Stillmark, Serena, and many more. We are building a product our users love and we are just getting started!

The Role

Bitstack is looking for a Chief of Staff to help drive execution on the company’s most important strategic and cross-functional initiatives as we enter our next phase of growth.

This is a high-impact role working closely with the leadership team to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex topics that span Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, and Growth.

You’ll help translate strategic priorities into concrete action, unblock teams, and ensure follow-through on what matters most.

This is not a COO role, and not a junior support role, it’s a hands-on position for someone who combines structured thinking with strong execution skills and thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

What You'll Be Doing

Own execution of high-priority strategic initiatives

Lead or support key company-wide projects that require coordination across multiple teams. Topics may include:

  • Market or EU expansion

  • Pricing and monetisation work

  • Product launches (e.g. card or adjacent products)

  • Strategic partnerships or alliances

The scope will evolve over time based on Bitstack’s priorities.

Bring structure and execution discipline

Turn complex, ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, timelines, and decisions.

  • Break down high-level initiatives into actionable plans

  • Track progress, dependencies, and risks

  • Surface issues early and help teams stay unblocked

  • Drive follow-through and accountability

Enable the leadership team to operate at high leverage

Support the leadership team in staying focused on the highest-impact work.

  • Structure leadership meetings, planning cycles, and follow-ups

  • Ensure clarity on priorities, decisions, and next steps

  • Act as a neutral facilitator across functions when needed

Improve alignment across teams

Act as a connective layer across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Growth, and Leadership.

  • Strengthen information flow and coordination

  • Improve cross-functional execution and decision-making

  • Work closely with a founders’ intern (separate role), delegating operational or junior tasks where appropriate

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in strategy, operations, or execution roles

  • Experience as a Chief of Staff, Strategy, Operations, or similar role

  • Background in a high-growth startup, scale-up, fintech, or tech environment

  • Exposure to consulting, venture investing, corporate strategy, or related fields is a plus

  • Experience working closely with senior leadership or founders

Strong business and execution mindset

  • Ability to connect strategy, product, growth, finance, and execution

  • Comfortable operating without a fixed playbook

  • Strong structured thinking and analytical ability

  • Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management

Communication and ownership

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to influence without formal authority

  • High judgment, discretion, and reliability

  • Low ego, high ownership, strong execution bias

Interview Process

  1. Introductory Call (45 min)
An initial conversation with our CFO and People Lead to get to know you better and share more details about the role, the team, and how we work at Bitstack

  2. Case Study (60 min)
You’ll receive a practical task to complete in your own time. Once submitted, we’ll schedule a review call with our CFO to walk through your solution together and explore your thought process in more detail

  3. Final Interview (60 min)
A conversation with our CEO and CTO centered on your experiences, decision-making, and collaboration style. We’ll discuss real-world scenarios to understand how you navigate challenges, teamwork, and stakeholder interactions.
