Your Mission

We need your energy and drive to implement great business opportunities with leading global brands and secure Beloy’s regulated business in the UK. You will report to the General Counsel and you will have a central role with internal and external stakeholders (especially our clients, our insurer partners and the FCA) in structuring and implementing innovative UK and pan-European insurance programs, thus influencing the growth trajectory of Beloy. As an early joiner in the Legal & Compliance team, you will also have significant development opportunities and true ownership !

Your Main Missions

LEGAL : Support business growth

• Manage end-to-end implementation of strategic partnerships with new and existing B2B partners (structuring of the program, review and negotiate contracts with clients, insurer partners, product documentation, etc.) - first UK, then pan-European

• Draft and negotiate all types of commercial and insurance-related contracts (NDA, TOBA, services agreements, IT agreements, etc.)

• Work with the Product Team to review the new products to be launched in the UK (both commercial and retail)

REGULATORY : Secure Beloy’s activities as authorized broker in the UK:

• Manage the relationship with the FCA: Be a positive and strong representative of Beloy, acting  with the highest degree of integrity

• Organise and supervise the regulated activities of Beloy and its sub-distributors in the UK

• Monitor applications and reporting requirements in the UK

COMPLIANCE : Lead Beloy’s insurance compliance framework in the UK

• Manage the implementation and control of Beloy’s Compliance policies (Consumer Duty, Product Governance, Financial Crime, Conflicts of Interests, etc.) in accordance with UK regulations

• Identify and manage key Compliance risks with relevant stakeholders

• Organise the Compliance governance in the UK

ADVISORY: Act as key business partner for the Beloy teams

• Provide UK-related legal /regulatory advice and solutions to the Beloy teams to help meet business challenges

• Regulatory watch : Provide feedback to Beloy teams on evolving UK insurance-related regulations

What you will bring

• Between 5 to 8 years of experience as Lawyer in the UK insurance industry (insurers, MGA, brokers, insurtechs), with solid regulatory background

• Experience in dealing with launch and monitoring of UK insurance products, both commercial and retail (including Consumer Duty & Product Governance)

• Strong negotiation skills & eye for detail - you are also proactive and think out of the box

• Curiosity and a problem-solving mindset to overcome new or complex situations

• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written: the test is you are able to make legal & regulatory topics understandable by all the team !

• High energy and team player, eager to learn and grow with Beloy as we scale

• Other European languages (French, Spanish) appreciated
