Paulína is an Office Manager and HR Generalist. She oversees the Prague branch of Batist. She takes care of the happiness management of the team, negotiations with suppliers, and administrative agenda such as invoices, contracts, etc. In the HR Department, she is responsible for CV screening, hiring new employees, conducting interviews, onboarding, and cooperating on various fascinating projects.
Michal is responsible for the operation of the company’s IT infrastructure, building of new systems, and implementation of new solutions that help the activities of the entire company. He also oversees the functioning of systems in the Czech Republic and throughout Europe. The management of the IT Support team takes up a lot of his time. He takes care of proper functionality and user satisfaction.
Aneta primarily deals with the HR agenda of Mertlin, one of the companies within the group. It is the only production company, which means she is hiring both blue and white-collar employees or production and warehouse workers. She also oversees the HR marketing, onboarding process, corporate culture, and employer branding.
Michal prepares financial reports for the company management, particularly cost controlling, which means monitoring the company’s business performance at the level of the individual centers. He is further responsible for the preparation and evaluation of the budget, forecasting, monthly presentation of financial performance of the group, and monitoring of liabilities and receivables.
In 2018, Tomáš bought the company – originally founded and then sold by his father – from the Swedish group OneMed. In 2020, he used the opportunity presented by the year of the pandemic and established the company as one of the largest manufacturers of face masks in the Czech Republic. Tomáš is the CEO of BATIST.
Batist Medical a.s. based in Červený Kostelec with a branch in Prague is a major European supplier and manufacturer of face masks, nanofiber face masks, medical and sanitary products for the treatment of wounds, bandages, and other sanitary equipment used in healthcare. The company directly manages its branches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Portugal, Spain, and recently in Hungary and Romania. It also functions as a service organization for the entire group in other countries where it isn’t represented, and it exports to more than 40 countries all over the world.
