Within the Group, you will join the Group Ceded Reinsurance department.

Job PurposeAXA Group Ceded Re is responsible for all Group external treaty cessions to manage risk ensuring adherence to Group Risk Appetite limits, optimize value for the Group by limiting Group earnings volatility and optimizing capital.AXA Group Ceded Re has created a dedicated team to develop relationships with new partners and support AXA in accomplishing a sustainable growth by providing additional reinsurance capital.We are looking to hire for the team, a senior Alternative Capital Officer that will be the second most senior member of the team reporting to the head. His main objective will be to find and develop the new strategic relationships.

Key responsibilities:

Business development

  • Identify additional potential investors
  • Understand how investors are looking at the insurance/reinsurance product
  • Collaborate and drive internal (data and analytics ; group legal; investor relations) and external teams (brokers; law firm) to build pitching materials
  • Prospect and pitch new investors
  • Categorize risk return profile of investors and identify investments steps from investors

Partnership and offer structuring

  • Design solutions that would unlock any constraints on both AXA and investors side
  • Understand the strengths and weaknesses of the offer versus the broader set of existing financial products
  • Design a path that will allow investors to effectively invest and support them in navigating the AXA Group through that path
  • Collaborate and drive internal and external teams to legally structure the transaction
  • Support entities of the group on all alternative capital related topics

Preferred experience

Technical and professional skills

  • Knowledge and experience of financial markets / financial products;
  • 8 to 10 years experience in Finance or Reinsurance, minimum 5 years of structuring experience;
  • Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance techniques, products and markets is a plus.

Communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills and negotiation skills ;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong Analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, French is a plus.
