Health Services plays a key part of this mission with the objective to triple the size and number of hospitals and clinics across 7 countries over the next 5 years.Patient steering is about guiding our customers to the right solution (preferred providers, digital pathways or AXA centers) on their healthcare journeys.As a patient steering lead, you will work in collaboration with entities. You will be in charge to co-define execution strategy with entities, define optimal patient steering design, including preferred, options, steering mechanisms, promotion and product incentives; as wells as supporting their deployment and continuous optimization to guide customers towards efficient healthcare journeys to better claim costs. As a patient steering lead, you will work in collaboration with entities. You will face the challenge of leading the implementation of patient steering programs across entities within the newly established Global Division. This challenge combines an strategic design side and an operational transformational one. You will be responsible for driving the expansion of patient steering programs at selected entities, including thought leadership, field expertise, strategic co-design with the local team, project structuration, partnerships and operational deployment and The role also requires coordination and synergizing healthcare activities across entities within AXA as well as with senior group stakeholders to obtain the necessary buy-in.

 As Patient steering lead, your main missions are:

Main responsibilities:

  1.  Jointly with the local teams, design and implement new customer steering programs in selected entities, collaborating closely with local teams.
  2.  Identify best practices and assess and facilitate replication across entities.
  3.  Provide expertise and guidance on healthcare customer steering programs.
  4.  Monitor and evaluate the performance of customer steering programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure their success.
  5.  Develop and deliver high-impact, data-driven communication documentation to communicate effectively key insights, strategic initiatives, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  6.  Collaborate with other Senior Business Experts within the Healthcare Division and central teams, to ensure a cohesive approach across entities.
  7.  Develop and manage multi-country partnerships to support the Customer Steering program.

Major Actions and Tasks:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analyses to understand local healthcare demand, regulatory environment, reimbursement landscape, and competitive positioning.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for cost containment via patient steering group best practices, local market intelligence and industry trends.
  • Develop a clear and actionable healthcare strategy tailored to the specific entity, considering local strengths, gaps, and future market projections.
  • Synthesize insights and strategic options into a compelling narrative, supported by data, to be communicated effectively through slide decks, board papers, or presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with local leadership and key stakeholders to refine the strategy, ensuring buy-in and alignment with operational realities.
  • Facilitate workshops or strategic review sessions to gather feedback, challenge assumptions, and validate strategic choices.
  • Prepare and present the final strategic plan to senior management, clearly articulating the rationale, expected outcomes, and implementation roadmap.
  • Ensure the strategy is adaptable, with contingency plans and milestones to track progress and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of industry best practices and innovative healthcare models to incorporate into local strategic frameworks.

Preferred experience

To succeed in this position, you bring the following skills:

• At least 10 years of proven experience in Health insurance, Provider management and Healthcare claims, or Strategic Consulting on the healthcare area.

• Ideally, experience across multiple countries.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and entities.

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with local teams and stakeholders.

• Analytical skills and project management expertise, to assess and structure entities' maturity, progress, and challenges.

• Excellent strategic thinking.

• Excellent level of English, and ideally French and/or Spanish.
