Job description

Position Overview:

As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive the manufacturing and production strategies definition, work with the R&D team to ensure efficient design transfer to operation teams, and ensure the efficient setup of manufacturing capabilities. You will identify regulatory and good manufacturing practice requirements and oversee all industrialisation processes throughout development and manufacturing, contributing to the deliverability of the Lakhesys Benchtop Cell Factory™.

Reports to the Chief Operations Officer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute equipment manufacturing strategy at company scale

  • Analyze existing documentation and practices from our manufacturing partner to understand and optimize current production methods

  • Develop and implement internal manufacturing workflows, procedures, and quality controls

  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Engineering to ensure Design for Manufacturing principles are applied

  • Ensure the first steps of the establishment of a future supply chain organization and bring competencies in contracting management, procurement, logistics, ERP, master data management

  • Setup key processes aligned with manufacturing requirements with a first focus on the equipment as the consumables are fully managed internally with a manufacturing dedicated team

  • Support the qualification of the new equipment, tools, and fixtures for in-house manufacturing

  • Support pilot production, prototyping, and early-stage industrialization

  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and relevant regulatory standards

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce cost, lead time, and risk


Preferred experience

Qualifications:

Technical skills:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in complex mechatronic systems, in supply chain and related

  • Demonstrated experience with technology transfer and process industrialization dealing with different suppliers

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, injection molding, electromechanical integration, etc.)

  • Understanding of GMP, ISO 13485, or other regulated environments

  • Fluent in English (French is a plus)

  • Hands-on, solution-oriented, and autonomous
