About the mission

We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to scale quality excellence across our growing organization. You'll balance hands-on contribution with strategic leadership, shaping our QA strategy and culture.

Your mission: coordinate a community of QA Engineers, embed quality practices across all squads, and drive the standards that will define how we approach quality company-wide.

Your responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the company's QA strategy, setting standards, tools, and methodologies across all Tribes
  • Lead and mentor the QA community, fostering collaboration and driving the Community of Practice
  • Act as the quality advocate in strategic product and engineering discussions
  • Engage early in product development to identify edge cases and define the testing strategies
  • Support developers in writing better automated tests and encourage manual testing
  • Conduct exploratory testing campaigns and hands-on testing to maintain deep product knowledge and assess overall product quality
  • Ensure test suite quality and reliability, supporting developers in test maintenance and contributing to CI/CD improvements
  • Track quality metrics, identify trends, drive data-driven improvements, and provide regular quality reporting

Our technical stack

  • Backend: Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis.
  • Frontend: React, Typescript, Jest, Playwright.
  • Tooling: Datadog, Sentry, Github Actions

Your profile

  • 5+ years as a QA Engineer, QA Lead, or Lead Software Engineer in Test, ideally in agile, cross-functional product teams.
  • Experience building or scaling QA teams and practices in a fast-growing product company.
  • Proven ability to define and implement QA strategies in a growing organization.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and coordinating other QA professionals.
  • Deep understanding of automated and manual testing best practices.
  • Able to analyze test results, identify patterns, and drive systematic improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to work with developers, PMs, engineering leadership, and other QAs.
  • Autonomous, pragmatic, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Curious and product-minded — eager to understand how things work and where they can fail.
  • Good level in English (spoken and written).

Nice to Have

  • Experience facilitating communities of practice or guilds.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Playwright and Gherkin is a strong plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, especially GitHub Actions.
