The Financing team at Alma is responsible for structuring, negotiating, and executing crucial aspects of the company's strategy. This includes developing and owning Alma's funding strategy to support the scaling of its lending business globally. The team manages the entire deal process, from structuring and negotiation to documentation and execution, and works closely with Engineering, Product, Revenue, and Risk teams. Additionally, they build and maintain relationships with existing and potential investors, ensuring the efficient functioning of Alma's financial operations.

About the mission

Reporting to the Head of Financing, you will be in charge of:

1. Operational Management of Existing Refinancing Structures:

   • Monitoring and optimizing the existing structures.
   • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective management and regulatory compliance, and external teams (Management Company, Custodian, etc..)
     
   • Ensuring correct handling of cash flows and accounting/prudential implications.
     

2. Development of Analytical Management/Monitoring Tools for Vehicles:

   • Developing analytical tools for performance monitoring and management of refinancing vehicles.
   • Analyzing data and producing regular reports.

3. Ad-Hoc Projects:

   • Contributing to projects such as the refinancing of non-French receivables.
   • Participating in the refinancing of Non-Performing Loans (NPL)
   • Monitoring the credit origination with Revenue Teams

About you

• Education: Pursuing a degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling tools such as Excel; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Interest in Finance: A genuine interest in financial markets & structured finance
• Experience: Previous finance-related internships or coursework in structured finance / securitization are advantageous
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Proactive and Eager to Learn: A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
