Akur8 is one of the non-life insurance industry's leading insurtech companies, as well as being one of the foremost developers of innovative cloud-based and machine learning solutions for both actuaries and other sophisticated analysts.

This client-facing role is responsible for providing expert support and driving process modernization for clients using our proprietary insurance reserving software, Arius.

Our Non-Life Reserving Actuaries act as a subject matter experts to the industry, to our clients, and to our internal software development and sales & marketing teams, especially regarding the use of our solutions and other related tools as leverage to modernize the P&C insurance reserving process.

In addition to effective interaction with senior- and C-level executives at major insurers, reserving actuaries also develop – both individually and collaboratively – webinar presentations, white papers, and similar reserving-related thought leadership.

Key responsibilities of this role will include the following:

  • Client relationship management: Building strong relationships with clients and partners, gaining a deep understanding of their business objectives and offering strategic guidance using our reserving solutions.

  • Client advocacy: Working with our larger and strategic clients to assure their involvement and input into our new solution development, and helping guide the priorities for our future development efforts.  Serving as an advocate for the client within our company, gathering and sharing feedback with the sales and product teams to support ongoing improvement.

  • Client satisfaction: Proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or concerns clients may have using our solutions, therefore reducing the risk of product churn. Leveraging strong relationships with clients to monitor satisfaction levels, and providing timely solutions to ensure continued value and long-term retention.

  • Solution mastery: Demonstrating a solid understanding of accepted insurance finance and actuarial calculations alongside bespoke reserving analysis concepts. Mastering common outputs and reporting needs of a reserve analysis.

  • Assist with sales presentation: Being comfortable presenting our solutions to executive and C-level buyers at major insurers around the world, effectively communicating the value our solutions provide, addressing the client's questions and needs, and demonstrating how our tools can drive client business success.

  • Training and support for solution partners: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our delivery partners (key consulting and technology firms) to assist them in the delivery of training and support to our mutual clients.
