Job description

We are seeking a skilled Manager to lead and expand our Database and Platform (Windows/Unix) Services team. Are you an experienced leader with a comprehensive understanding of the IT infrastructure outsourcing industry? Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Database and platform services team

  • Take the lead in managing your services area globally and establish strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Identify, develop, and implement new business opportunities and services in collaboration with global stakeholders

  • Set an example through your leadership and actions

  • Drive improvements, automation, optimization, and implementation changes

  • Supervise and guide direct reports, addressing their development, performance, technology, and current or future operational needs

  • Manage team workload by setting clear goals and deadlines, allocating resources effectively, and overseeing project management

  • Support change, encourage employees to innovate, evaluate suggestions, and remove obstacles to implementation. Assure employee equity and encourage employee growth and opportunity

  • Actively listen to team members’ feedback and promptly resolve any issues or conflicts

  • Provide regular reports on essential metrics

  • Foster effective collaboration with other Aeven delivery centres, such as Denmark and the Philippines

  • Work together with HRBP to ensure compliance with necessary HR processes, including performance management, compensation and benefits management, retention, and annual organizational review

Your Team

Your team will comprise IT Operations Specialists and Project Consultants, organized into two sub-teams: Database Services (MSSQL, Oracle, DB2 & OpenSource databases) and Platform Services (Unix/Linux and Windows).

The team consists of 16 members, and we anticipate further growth throughout 2023. As a global team, our Operations Specialists and Project Consultants collaborate closely with colleagues from Denmark and Philippines. Daily collaboration occurs through online channels, and you will be expected to actively participate in this collaborative environment.

Preferred experience

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a diverse team of junior and senior members

  • Possess excellent leadership skills

  • Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, including familiarity with business metrics, best practices, and benchmarks

  • Solid understanding of ITSM processes and Agile methodologies

  • Experience in IT Operations and IT Outsourcing environment

  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics and their measurement

  • Ability to thrive in an international work environment

  • Proactive approach to ensuring smooth and efficient collaboration

  • Positive attitude, open-mindedness, and receptiveness to new ideas
