About the mission we offer:

The "Processes and Engineering" business area is at the heart of the major projects carried out by Technip Energies for its clients. The engineering teams mobilize their expertise through all phases of these projects. Their scope includes many disciplines, such as process engineering, mechanics, piping, instrumentation, electricity, and civil engineering. Serving the various professions in the field, and in a context of digital transformation of the company, the "Operations and Transformation" team structures and pilots a roadmap aimed at exploiting the potential of data science and artificial intelligence. It is in this team and in support of this approach that the proposed course is inscribed. 

The main objective of the internship is to collect and analyze the needs of the different departments in order to identify opportunities for the integration of artificial intelligence. Following this work, the intern will be able to participate in the development of an action plan for the implementation of adapted solutions, in cooperation with the other members of the team. In addition, the intern will be invited to carry out a technology watch on the use of artificial intelligence in the process and engineering sector, by researching in the specialized press and academic literature the most frequent use cases and the level of maturity of the different technologies. Finally, the intern may also contribute to the framing of a case study relevant to the evaluation and comparison of generative artificial intelligence tools in the target field (data, standard queries, success criteria, etc.), in close collaboration with potential users. The final deliverable of the internship is a detailed report: this will summarize all the work carried out, and will illustrate to operational profiles the promises of artificial intelligence as well as its current limitations, based on their daily activities. 

This project is an opportunity for the intern to familiarize himself or herself with the "Processes and Engineering" activities of a leading company, in a particularly transversal way. It also offers him the opportunity to work in a concrete way on the promising subject of digital transformation, approached here from both a technical and operational point of view.

During this internship, you will be accompanied by a tutor to answer your various questions.

Profile:

The ideal profile for this internship combines the following characteristics.

• Student in Master 2 or last year of engineering school (end-of-studies internship of 2 to 6 months)
• Strong interest in large engineering projects 
• Appetite for digital technologies and artificial intelligence
• Communication skills, oral and written, in French and English 
• Curiosity, initiative, autonomy, ability to be a force of proposal in the face of an open problem

Without being mandatory, knowledge of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) type projects is welcome. A first experience related to artificial intelligence, acquired through an internship, a teaching module or a personal initiative, would also be an advantage.
