Stop 3 on the Technip Energies world tour: the United Kingdom 🇬🇧
After exploring our presence in the United States on our Technip Energies world tour, we’re heading to the UK.
📈 Our teams in the UK have grown by 39% since 2022, and we currently have more than 450 employees based in London, Milton Keynes, Aberdeen and Teesside across Technip Energies and Genesis.
💡Projects managed by our UK offices are at the forefront of delivering a decarbonized UK power sector by 2030 and accelerating the country’s transition to net zero
⚡We were notably awarded a major contract in 2024 for the Net Zero Teesside Power, which aims to become the world’s first gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage, capturing up to 2 million tonnes of CO₂ per year. The plant will be capable of generating over 740 megawatts of flexible, dispatchable low-carbon power, equivalent to the annual electricity requirements of more than one million UK homes.
Fun facts about the UK:
🚇 The London Underground, opened in 1863, is the oldest metro system in the world
🌬️ The UK was the first country in the world to use wind power to generate electricity for a home, back in 1887
Can you guess where we’re heading next?
HINT: This country is home to the world’s tallest statue, nearly twice the height of the Statue of Liberty 🗽
