🔎 In a nutshell, what are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate and brillant Product Owner / CTO Associate with a strong expertise in low-level backend programming and a sharp business sense to work directly with our CTO and co-founder Oscar (who is currently owner of the “product” part).

You will be the right hand of Oscar.

🥊 Challenges ahead for you

1. Perfectly understand business and operational issues. Interact with both tech and non-tech teams on a daily basis, making different views converge by being a driving force.

2. Translate these issues into technical solutions by:

   _Conceptualizing the main topics at stakes

   _Suggesting several solutions including prioritization and required tradeoffs

   _Planning and orchestrating the delivery

   _Orchestrating the delivery of a project involving several teams that you don’t manage directly and who have different day-to-day focuses

🏈 About your future Team

You will have to interact autonomously with all the Tech teams at Stockly. There are 6 of them:

• Backoffice : Building our custom-made interface for orders tracking and after sales service (e.g. customers messages). Meet Camille, in charge of the team in this video

• Business Intelligence : Including data-backed analysis into decision making processes and monitoring

• Engine : Modeling new issues into our Tech (e.g. operational, commercial, financial). Meet Sylvain, talking about the Engine team in this video

• Integrations : Technically integrating our partners systems with our product

• Tech Solvers : Technical support on orders management and corrections (e.g. databases updates)

Backoffice and Engine will be your primary interlocutors.

• Structuring multi-months projects into a sequence of “2-3 days tasks” easy to delegate, with clear realistic guidelines answering the expressed needs

• Build strong, easy-to-understand and reliable documentation about our product

• Enable more business for Stockly by making the whole organization focus on the most important features and prioritizing correctly

• Follow, review and support the delivery, then the implementation and go-lives. Anticipate potential issues, make sure everything goes well, correct anything that goes wrong.

• Become our product leader: take the role that our CTO Oscar is currently owning on the Product part

Every team has a daily meeting to align on priorities and solve issues ⇒ You won’t be left alone!

Every Monday we have a global weekly meeting where every team shares what they are working on and what they will do for the coming week ⇒ You will have visibility on the whole company!

Every quarter we have our OKR meeting (Objectives, Key Results) where each team shows the results of the previous quarter and the objectives of the following one ⇒ You will see the company grow and your own role inside of it!

Background

• You come from a top engineering school, and have done a “Classe Prépa”

• You spent 4-7 years in a top-tier tech start-up/scale-up or in a top large tech company

• You have started in tech as a low-level backend developer for 2-4 years and then moved to a product focus over the past 2-3 years.

Hard skills

• You are fluent in both French 🇫🇷 and English 🇬🇧

• You love mathematics, logic and algorithms

• You are fully proficient in a low-level backend programming language, preferably Rust (but can be C++, C, C#, Scala, Haskell or Ocaml)

• You are experienced in structuring features, translating ideas into precise guidelines for developers

• You are very structured, organized and good at synthesizing

Soft skills

• Smart, curious and a fast learner: you don’t know everything, but you can learn anything

• Tenacious: you never give up even when it is complex, you pay attention to details and have a hands-on approach

• Ambitious: you are ready toreshape the global e-commerce landscape with us

• Nice, humble and friendly: you love learning from others and humbly sharing knowledge with them. You are able to interact with both tech and non-tech/business profiles

• Autonomous and hard working: you know how to manage your tasks independently and ask for help when needed

🏎️ Our process goes fast, we are reactive and we adapt to your availabilities. We can typically go through the whole process in 2-3 weeks:

1. 20min video-call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team - To understand your background and motivations, and reply to your questions

2. 1-hour face to face (or remote) interview with Oscar our CTO - To have a deeper discussion

3. Half-a-day immersion at Stockly to meet all the team (on site) - Meet the team, put yourself in the shoes of a Stockler, ask all your questions
