Key Responsibilities 

  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 Account Executives, providing guidance, structured onboarding, and ongoing coaching to maximize performance and revenue growth.

  • Quota-Carrying Sales: Own and manage your personal sales quota by actively prospecting, managing your pipeline, and closing deals alongside your team.

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Support your team in identifying and qualifying potential clients through research, networking, and targeted outreach to key decision makers.

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Oversee the team’s pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of qualified leads and opportunities, while managing your own pipeline to meet personal and team targets.

  • Targeted Outreach: Develop and execute personalized outreach campaigns, leveraging email, phone calls, social media, and in-person meetings to generate interest for both yourself and your team.

  • Needs Assessment & Solution Alignment: Conduct discovery calls and participate in client meetings to understand business needs and align Siteminder’s solutions effectively.

  • Sales Presentations & Demos: Deliver compelling presentations and product demos yourself and coach your team on best practices for tailoring presentations to different prospect profiles.

  • Objection Handling & Deal Closing: Lead by example in overcoming objections, negotiating terms, and closing deals, while supporting your AEs on complex opportunities and client calls.

  • Market Research & Feedback: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback to refine strategies and continuously optimize sales execution.

  • CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and opportunities in the CRM, track team performance, and provide regular updates to senior management.

What we're looking for

  • Proven Sales Experience: 2+ years in Sales with a strong track record in SMB or mid-market organizations, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals.

  • Quota-Carrying Mindset: Comfortable owning and achieving your own sales targets in addition to managing and coaching your team.

  • Leadership & People Management: Experience leading and coaching small teams, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop talent.

  • Hands-On Sales Capability: Actively close deals and support client calls alongside your team, leading by example.

  • Commercial Mindset: Strong sales instincts, assertiveness, autonomy, and a consistent track record of hitting and exceeding quotas; excellent negotiation and closing skills.

  • Organizational & Portfolio Management: Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills to manage both your own and your team’s opportunities across different stages of the sales cycle.

  • Excellent Communication: Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication skills in German and English; ability to connect with stakeholders and build trust.

  • Customer-Centric & Consultative: Deep understanding of customer needs, with a consultative approach to position solutions as true business value.

  • Resiliency & Growth Mindset: Ability to embrace challenges, navigate uncertainty, and go the extra mile with a company-first mindset.
