Responsibilities
The Project Management Support Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that HR projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This position supports the HR team in managing various initiatives, enhancing project delivery, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.
By fostering a strong culture of collaboration and engagement, the officer helps create an environment where employees feel valued and informed.
Effective HR communications are essential for promoting transparency and trust, which in turn boosts employee morale and engagement. This role is vital for driving process improvements, ensuring that HR projects not only meet their intended outcomes but also contribute positively to the overall organizational culture.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning and execution of HR projects
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular updates
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document action plans
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans and reports
• Support the HR team in resource allocation and budgeting for projects
• Facilitate & support communication on projects
• Identify risks and issues affecting project timelines and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master's degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in HR/Project Management/Administration
- A previous experience in project management, HR or administrative support roles would be appreciated
- Experience in coordinating projects or initiatives within a people context is preferred
Language skills:
- Proficient level of Business English, written and verbal
- Speaking Dutch/French is an advantage
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Strong command of MS Office
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Project Management: understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical Thinking: ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Team Collaboration: ability to work effectively within teams and across departments

The VIE assignment in a nutshellThis VIE in Amsterdam is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
