A policy set up in the French office allows employees living near Sophia-Antipolis to work from home 3 days a week. Those who live more than 100 km away from the office, have a full remote contract. 

The office 🏢

We are lucky to be located in the Sophia Antipolis technology park. Its dynamic ecosystem has been developed over time thanks to the presence of French Tech companies. Located in the middle of Sophia-Antipolis, our office shares a garden, a swimming pool and a tennis court with other companies. We moved into this office in 2018 after 6 months of renovation works. We have a total of 600 m² with the work café being at the heart of our office. This is where we gather to share a cup of coffee, exchange ideas, and get all excited over a foosball game.

Career development

At Ricardo we do our utmost to encourage personal development of our engineers. Different steps lead to seniority, and then everyone can choose to go down the road of technical expertise to become a Principal engineer, or the road of management, to become an Engineering manager. This development is the result of a clever mix of coaching, training and taking responsibility throughout the career, and is accompanied by salary increases.

Team rituals and events

The life at Ricardo is driven by rituals: "All Hands” takes place every 15 days with the goal to present newcomers, new projects and the progress made on important business topics. It is also an opportunity to present the financial results of the company and the SMG group as a whole. Our CEO takes the opportunity to answer any questions people may have.

Every 6 months we organize an off-site event which allows us to meet in person with our colleagues from other marketplaces. The last one took place in a magical location in Laax, Switzerland, spanning over 3 days of exciting team building activities.
