THE ROLE Join our Finance team as a Senior Accountant and become a cornerstone in maintaining the integrity of our financial records within a fast-paced, multinational public company. You will own the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and key account reconciliations, ensuring strict adherence to US GAAP and SOX compliance. This role is critical for providing actionable financial analysis that supports management decision-making and continuous process improvement across the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the accurate preparation and posting of complex journal entries (accruals, prepaids, cash, etc.) and diligently support the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Own the monthly reconciliation process for key balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving all discrepancies promptly to maintain the highest integrity of the general ledger.
- Ensure continuous compliance with internal SOX controls and accounting policies, actively seeking and recommending opportunities to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of existing accounting processes and systems.
- Conduct critical financial analysis and fluctuation reporting to support the Accounting Manager and cross-functional partners (e.g., FP&A), transforming financial data into clear, actionable business insights.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Deep functional expertise in US GAAP, accrual accounting concepts, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), with the ability to perform independent research on guidance as needed.
- Proven proficiency with major ERP systems (preferably Netsuite or SAP), demonstrated by the ability to independently research and analyze data within the system and other tools like Tableau.
- Advanced financial modeling and data manipulation skills in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) to efficiently prepare reports and conduct robust analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong time management skills, enabling you to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and effectively communicate across departments.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
