During their mission, anesthetists often have to work with the most basic technical equipment and under difficult circumstances. Wide practical experience is therefore necessary. The on-location work of anesthetists ranges from emergency anesthesiology and triage to general anesthesiology. Especially for anesthetists, having command of “antiquated” working methods and training surgical personnel in hygiene are of importance.

JOB TASKS

• General anesthesia (intubation anesthesia, short anesthesia with masks)
• Carrying out local anesthesia (spinal, diverse blocks, etc.)
• Anesthesia in the area of surgery, traumatology, child surgery, obstetrics by mastering all complications (eclampsia, bleeding)
• Emergency medicine and reanimation as well as the primary care of traumatized patients
