We help consumers shop smarter. Our ambition is to revolutionize the way people shop, empowering them to find what they need, make informed purchasing decisions, and save money.
Joko is a tech company founded in Paris. Our team of over 50 talents is international and spread across offices in Paris, Barcelona and New York, or working remotely.
As a certified B Corporation, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of the communities we serve, including the 4 million consumers already using Joko to save money every day at over 7,000 merchants.
Over the years, we have quickly expanded our value proposition to enable consumers to make smarter shopping decisions through many features: cash back, buy now and pay later, automatic coupons, price drop alerts, carbon footprint tracking, and more. Today, we are dedicating significant resources to developing an AI-powered assistant that helps users find the right product based on their criteria for price, quality, or environmental impact from the global e-commerce catalog.
After reaching profitability in our core market, we are now expanding internationally with a primary focus on the US.
It’s still day 1; come build the future of shopping with us!
This position is remote-friendly.
At Joko, the Business Operations team is the engine behind internal innovation. We sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Ops, tackling the company’s most complex internal challenges with one goal in mind: scale smarter, faster, and with AI at the core.
We build AI agents to automate manual processes, leverage LLMs to accelerate decision-making, and develop intelligent systems that make the entire company more efficient. We think strategically, build technically, and execute fast.
From identifying opportunities to writing production-ready code, we own our projects end to end. Our mission: reimagine how Joko operates using AI, whether generative or predictive, to drive exponential gains in efficiency.
As an AI Automation Engineer, you’ll be both a driver and a builder. You’ll lead high-impact initiatives where AI is the solution, whether it’s designing an autonomous agent to triage support tickets, training a model to forecast sales volumes, or integrating LLMs into internal dashboards to make complex data instantly actionable.
You’ll work across the stack, from backend logic to front-end UX, with a sharp focus on speed, quality, and long-term impact.
You’ll own strategic AI projects end-to-end, such as:
Deploying internal AI copilots powered by LLMs to assist teams like Care and Sales in real time
Automating repetitive workflows like support categorization, invoice reconciliation, or product feedback triage using fine-tuned models
Embedding natural language interfaces into internal tools so teams can query complex data or trigger workflows using simple prompts
Replacing rules-based logic with self-improving, learning-based systems to handle edge cases and reduce manual intervention
Partnering with teams across the company (Product, Care, Finance, Marketing, etc.), you will:
Identify opportunities to apply machine learning (classification, prediction, clustering) and GenAI (text generation, reasoning, RAG pipelines) where they’ll unlock the most leverage
Design intelligent workflows such as forecasting support ticket volume to optimize Care agent staffing and shift planning, or flagging anomalies in marketing spend in real time
Build robust systems using the best-fit tools
Ship production-grade features across the stack, owning both backend and frontend when needed, including prompt engineering and continuous model iteration
Your mission: scale Joko through applied intelligence, not just automating tasks but designing smarter ways of working.
Education: You graduated from a top engineering school or have led outstanding entrepreneurial projects.
AI Enthusiast: You are passionate about AI and LLMs, and excited by their potential to transform how companies operate.
Problem solver: You have strong analytical skills, you are creative, and you love solving complex problems.
Quick-thinker: You are comfortable navigating and making quick decisions in uncertain contexts.
Engineer at heart: You are comfortable in a technical environment. You are always curious to understand how things work, and you are able to quickly learn new programming languages, new frameworks, or new practices. Bonus (but not required) if you have data analysis or software engineering technical skills.
Autonomy: You are fully autonomous and able to manage complex projects from A to Z.
Communication: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and you are able to explain something complex in simple words.
Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like challenges, you like getting hands-on and you want to know more about how a tech start-up company works.
Efficiency: You are fond of productivity tips and able to deliver on time on projects with many stakeholders.
Attention to details: You know that the devil is in the details, and you have a talent for spotting flaws where they are.
Languages: You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, as we are expanding internationally. Mastering French is not required.
We believe that flexibility and trust are important parts of a company. Our work environment reflects this thanks to:
Flexible remote: If you live in Paris, you can work from our office or from your place with no constraints. If you live elsewhere, you can get access to a coworking space.
Work from anywhere: Do you want to travel to Italy for a month and work from there? For up to 3 months a year, you may work from most countries in the world.
On top of that, we offer many perks such as:
