Popis pozice

As a VP of Engineering, you will report directly to Eric Fourrier (CEO & co-founder).

Your principal missions will be to guarantee the good technical execution of the product vision and scalability, especially with our next product launches, while helping the GitGuardian engineering team to grow and make the best technical decisions, in a fast paced and very competitive environment.

You will also be a member of the Executive Committee (ExCom).

  • Manage and synchronize the various development teams to ensure that the roadmap is properly implemented, while respecting our acceptance criteria.

  • Bring structure and good processes in place to support our high ambitions.

  • Accompany the tech managers in their daily work to help them increase their skills and autonomy in their area of responsibility.

  • Be involved in the team’s recruitments.

  • Work closely with the product department to make strategic decisions that will allow the entire tech department to work efficiently in the right direction

  • Contribute to our knowledge sharing culture (training, town hall, hackathon, strong documentation, …).

  • Choose the right tools to do software engineering in order to maximize our velocity.

  • Maintain and optimize budgets to meet our goals.

Požadavky na pozici

If you think you match at least 70% of these criteria, please apply!

  • Significant experience building B2B SaaS products.

  • At least one significant experience managing 80 to 120 engineers, in a scale-up environment: you have strong organizational and leadership skills, able to lead growing teams while maintaining a structured environment.

  • Understanding of our technical stack and challenges: backend, frontend, modern infrastructure, security, machine learning.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills, you are close to your teams.

  • Dynamic and autonomous personality: you can drive a vision for the team and the company.

  • Deep understanding of the startups dynamics and challenges.


Proces náboru

1. Video call with a recruiter

To discover your professional project and evaluate if there could be a mutual match.

2. Interview with Eric (CEO, co-founder)

To evaluate your skills for the position, project yourself into the role, present you the vision, and to make sure you would be able to succeed in the following steps of the recruitment process.

3. Technical interviews with team members (Engineering Managers)

To evaluate your technical skills, know more about yourself, and introduce you the team: missions, rituals, seniority level.

4. Interview with Executive Committee members

To meet the team you will be closely working with.

5. Final interview with a VC

Because this position is very impactful and strategic to us, every ExCom members gets to see one of our investors.
