Line Manager: Czech Climate Programmes Director
Our Czech Climate team is looking for a new colleague! We are seeking someone who will be a good fit to our team, who already has comprehensive experience in communications or media and who genuinely cares about climate issues and is eager to support our environmental projects.
You will work from our headquarters in Prague, collaborating closely with other Climate team members, PIN departments and also external stakeholders.
Taking charge of communication tasks assigned by the Czech Climate Programmes Director;
Collaborating closely with Project Coordinators and Managers to support their external communication efforts;
Creating and managing content for our climate projects, such as writing articles, producing videos or podcasts, and crafting social media posts — mainly for a Czech audience;
Assisting with post-production work, including editing photos and videos, and adding subtitles;
Coordinating the production of new publications by working effectively with different departments, partners, and external service providers;
Helping to keep our main and Climate websites up to date by adding fresh content, mostly aimed at Czech readers;
Developing and running communication campaigns to raise awareness and engagement;
Maintaining regular communication with donors by providing updates and detailed reports when needed;
Supporting the broader media and communication team at PIN;
Building relationships with Czech journalists and media outlets to share our message.
Experience in communications or media, ideally within the fields of environmental and climate-related topics;
Excellent written and spoken Czech; proficient level of English;
Ability to write engaging articles, social media posts, and other content;
Basic skills in photo and video editing, including working with subtitles;
Experience with website content management;
Strong coordination and organizational skills (e.g., managing publications, working with internal/external partners);
Ability to develop and implement communication campaigns;
Comfortable communicating with media and journalists;
Understanding of climate and environmental issues, and motivation to promote them;
Team player with a proactive, independent, and creative approach.
Working environment in a well-established humanitarian organization in a challenging context;
Starting Salary and benefits based on PIN’s salary scale and HR policies; expected salary range between 44,000-52,000 CZK gross for full time (based on experience);
